Hello Swaziland

Hello Swaziland!

After 3 plane flights and 2 loooong transit waits in airports we touched down safe and sound in Swaziland… and all in a tiring 32 hours!

Mind you Singapore airport totally rocks – free foot massage machines, mini gardens with fish filled ponds and free ‘Photo Me’ postcard facility broke the monotony.

We were picked up by Thando and Sphamandla (Spa) who work/reside at the Good Shepherd Hospital in Siteki (pronounced ‘Steggy’). Two very friendly guys – We’re really going to enjoy spending time with them.

After taking us to a supermarket to stack up on some groceries we stopped for some lunch before driving a further hour to our ‘home’ for the month.

Our lodging is wonderful – a small house in the Mabuda Farm Chalet which rests on the side of a hill overlooking a small mountain range. This view is going to be good for the soul.

We briefly met up with Kathleen and Sue who we will be working with during our stay here in Siteki. It’s going to be a good month with a rollercoaster ride of emotions I’m sure.

We’re both very tired… time to draw the mosquito nets, turn out the lights and get a proper good night’s sleep.
